Planning

Q: We're not sure how best to show the style of our line. Can you help us come up with a good idea?
A: We'll be happy to. We can have a planning meeting to explore the story of your line. We will suggest ideas based on qualities in the design, the look of the line, or other visual elements.

Q: I have an idea about a shoot I want to do. It's sort of similar to something I've seen in a magazine and online. Can you create images in that style?
A: Yes, we can. We strive to create a look for each shoot that will best express the style of the clothes or an image that you have in mind. If you show us references that have similar style or mood, lighting or design, we can design a shoot using those elements.

Q: I am tired of always shooting my line on white seamless for my website, but it’s all my company has ever done. How can I spice it up and do something interesting with the photos?
A: We want to make sure your product images have impact, and beautifully reflect the style of your line. We can schedule a pre-production meeting to discuss various ideas we can develop for your line. This may include using sets built in our studio, props, and interesting lighting techniques to give your images a look and mood that shows them in a fresh and appropriate way.

Q: What about models, hair and makeup, art direction? Can you help us book the talent?
A: We work with a number of modeling agencies that will fit a range of styles and budgets. We'll be happy to put you in touch with them so you can interview and hire the talent. We also have several hair and makeup artists, stylists, and art directors on our team. We'll recommend and hire the appropriate creative help for your shoot.

Q: How about studio or location rental?
A: Our 1,000 square-foot downtown studio will accommodate most photo shoots. We can also create an environment within the studio using sets. If we need to go on location, we can scout for an appropriate site available for rental or use a location you have in mind.

Scheduling

Q: How much notice do you need to schedule my photo session?
A: It's generally a good idea to book your session two or more weeks in advance. Of course, we can also be hired on short notice, depending on our availability. Some shoots require several days of preparation and planning, set building, location scouting and pre-production. And sometimes our calendar can be full, especially prior to fashion shows.

Q: My samples are coming in tomorrow and I need to go to a show in a few days. Is there any chance of fitting in a quick shoot before I have to send the garments out?
A: We will do everything we can to fit the photography of your items into our schedule, but you may incur a rush fee for working on short notice.

Q: Sometimes our factory is slow to get everything to us in time for our scheduled shoot. Is there the possibility of photographing just a few items at a later date without having to budget for a whole day of shooting?
A: We understand you have deadlines and yes, we can photograph a few specified items at a later date from your original shoot to satisfy your needs. We do offer a per piece pricing structure as well for clients who are often in this situation, although there is a minimum pricing. Contact us and we will be happy to give you a quote on your project no matter how big or small.

Q: How about cancellation or postponement notice?
A: Once your session is booked, we reserve the date and will turn down other requests for work on those days. Similarly, the models, hair and makeup artists and other shoot crew are committed to your booking. And there may be sets, locations or equipment rented for the session as well. Therefore cancellations are costly and will incur fees to offset costs. Depending on the amount of notice given, this can be 50% to 100% of estimated fees.

Q: Can I move my upcoming shoot if my garments aren't ready?
A: We understand that sometimes circumstances are beyond your control. We will do our best to reschedule a shoot if possible. However, if we incur any costs in doing so, we will pass those costs to the client to offset the postponement expense.
